Poem Contributed by a new member

Twilight of Dawn

Curled Up in a hammock

Knotted between boughs of Oaks

I lie in – Beside lake Enoch

Like gentle taps on doors of eyes

I hear :

The sounds of tweets

Of Birds o’er trees

Brushing my face

Is soft spring breeze

Awoken Thus :

I see the red sun rise

Above the hills, and

through the skies

As vanishing mist -

Like gossamer spread

That drapes the icy waters

But fast begins to fade

To reveal a row of skiffs

That flit upon waves

To net a pile of plaice

Twittering squirrels soon awake

When ducks and drakes

With fluttering wings

Start their swift water skates

To the tune of larks

that dart away

like a wave

I Bow in reverence

To the Twilight of dawn

Descending from slumber

To trot back home

Holding wide open doors

That let in golden rays

I sit on the floor

To chant my prayer of Hope!
