Fresh recruited students from Colleges who have obtained job offers from Satyam have staged an agitation at Satyam Infocity, (CLL Campus, Hyderabad) today i.e., 28th January 2009.
Around 300 people from different States of the country, who have been given job offerings by Satyam have participated in the program
There are around 7000 people who have been offered a job by Satyam and have not been given a specific joining date, though other formalities such as NASSCOM registration, other documentation has been completed.
There are instances of specific cases where students have been waiting for joining since 2007. Now as the total situation of company is in peril, these fresh techies demanded a clarification and also claimed the management negligence in dealing with their case. Freshers demanded a clarity in the issue of offerings by the management and demand the job as they were kept in waiting for a long time.
J K C – Jawahar Knowledge Centers’ (AP) techies (Satyam recruited) participated in large number as they are the students who can’t turn up for other jobs because of the binding JKC policy.
In the afternoon though the H. R. Department has initiated talks with the representatives of these freshers but has not provided any clarity.
